Kamalame Cay is a nearly 100-acre private island paradise accessible only by ferry or seaplane. Three miles of unspoiled sandy white beaches line the eastern shore of the island. A selection of elegantly furnished rooms, suites, and private villas are available to guests on the island, but no matter what their choice, they are sure to find the surroundings comfortable and tasteful.
The Kamalame Cay is a very small hotel containing just 19 units. Because it is a rather intimate property, it is popular with guests who like a calm, quaint atmosphere. We have given this property a 4.5 star rating. Consistent with its rating, this is one of the priciest hotels in the Bahamas.
With beautiful tropical furnishings, world-class amenities, stunning views, the rooms and suites at the Kamalame Cay offer everything people imagine a tropical paradise to be. The Marina and Beach Room have a fully stocked wet bar, Roman soaking tub, and a covered veranda.
The secluded Cottage Suites are exceptionally spacious, perfect for large families or groups. Village Suites offer even a higher level of comfort with a separate cozy sitting room, a large wet bar, a Roman soaking tub with shower, a spacious living room, a kitchenette and a wrap-around covered veranda that overlooks the beach. The crown jewel at the Kamalame Cay is the Kamalame Cove, 7,500-square foot private villa located on a rocky bluff overlooking the beautiful azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. With four elegant rooms accommodating up to eight guests, the villa has a heated freshwater swimming pool and a kitchen with full-time staff.
