All Inclusive Bahamas

All-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas may not be as plentiful as on other Caribbean islands, but the big-name resorts - such as Atlantis and Sandals - can still be found.

All-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas offer a variety of vacation amenities for one flat price; however, these prices include different things at different resorts. Check with your resort ahead of time to be sure you won't be charged for extras you thought you were getting for free. Regardless of what is included, many travelers find that staying at all-inclusives helps to save money.

While some all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas seem pricey at the outset, their costs generally cover things that add up when travelers are on the go, such as meals and activities like sailing, spa treatments, and golf or tennis facilities. Making a vacation budget can help you decide whether or not you will save by staying at an all-inclusive.

When deciding if an all-inclusive is right for you, consider the other debate surrounding such resorts. Many travelers feel that the pre-packaged style of all-inclusives inhibit their ability to truly experience island culture. If pre-planned activities suit you, all-inclusives will give you exactly what you want. If you're looking to strike out on your own and explore the island, another type of accommodation may be more your style.

Local businesses also have objections to all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas, citing that the all-inclusive meal plan deters vacationers from trying local restaurants. While this may be true, travelers are free to choose when and where they eat. However, eating at local restaurants is less cost effective when staying at an all-inclusive resort where meals are generally part of the prepaid package.

The Resorts

The debate for or against all-inclusives may go on forever, but until then, the choice is yours. You can be as involved as you want at an all-inclusive: wine and dine in style at the resort, relax and have fun with on-site activities, or strike out on your own to explore the island for a day and return to a resort party that night. Every vacation is customizable, and all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas give you the option of paying one price for everything during your stay.
